The SMS-input-window of easySMS

Features of easySMS:
  • Sending SMS with more than 160 characters (you can send a text which contains the length of 9 SMS) The text will be splitted at a "space", "hyphen" or a "carriage return" to separate SMS.

  • only sendable characters can be typed in.

  • large number of supported characters (see character table).

  • selecting recipients mobile-number from the addressbook.

  • connection via IR to the mobile.

  • support of capital Greek letters (thanks to Manos S. Pappás, who gave me the mapping-table) / Small Greek letters are mapped to capital Greek letters (GSM-alphabet).

  • Sending SMS to more than one recipient.

  • selection of the IR-port between COM1 - COM9.

  • receiving a protocol, if SMS is correctly sent.

NEW in Version 1.50:

  • New SMS (templates, received and sent SMS) are stored to CE-databases.

  • A new Folder-dialog makes it easier to handle the SMS.

  • Old SMS which are stored to files can be opened, deleted or saved to the CE-databases.

  • Now it's possible to synchronize received SMS from your mobile phone with your PDA (these function is tested with a Siemens S45, which stores received SMS in the mobile phone memory. But you can even read by default SMS from the SIM-card. The standard-character-set is used.

NEW in Version 1.51:

  • Now received SMS can be automatically deleted on the mobile after synchronization.

  • Some fixes for receiving SMS.

NEW in Version 1.52:

  • SMS-Folders can be im- and exported.

  • A little fix for receiving SMS.

  • correction of the time-format and sort-order of the SMS in the SMS-Folders.

  • Status-Report SMS can now be received with easySMS.

  • Sending 760-character SMS.

  • Receiving Greek-SMS (capital letters) in 7-bit GSM-alphabet.

  • Receiving SMS in Unicode-alphabet (Greek, etc.).

  • Specifying a Service-Center-Number in the Setup if the mobile phone doesn't provide these Number for sending.

  • Wrong error message while sending a SMS fixed.

  • synchronization-problems while connection fixed.

  • sending and receiving Greek characters in "standard"-mode

  • Sending SMS in Unicode-alphabet (Greek, etc.).
